Marshall McLuhan said that we live watching the rear view mirror.  And it's true.  I snapped this photo at the end of my anniversary getaway this past summer with Lynn  We were at the Grand Haven Beach and it was so fiercely hot out that the cool concrete and lake breezes through this big shelter seemed almost as beautiful as the contrast of it's hollow darkness against the insistent brightness of the sun and it's reflections on the lake outside.  Even when I'm in Ohio I feel very connected to the Great Lakes, like a part of me needs to be staring at the wide expanse of water, so fluid and alive.
