On The Making of Horror Fonts
When enough Bramble has overgrown the sign that tells you that there is no Thruway? And the peeling of the letters looks like a possible spell has been placed on the property? Or maybe that a serial murderer has been squatting there for the last few years… I’m not sure that the sign is really Even needed anymore?I think when my friend Alyssa coined the term “horror font” — I think she was mostly talking about lettering and design dimensions in a particular font. I think this sign makes a convincing argument that a “horror font” can be created by vegetation, weather and neglect.
